Companies present 500 gifts to poor people

P&G Vietnam and Korea’s Lotte Mart has handed over 500 gifts to poor people in districts 7 and 11 in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the Lunar New Year which will falls on Jan.23.

The gifts, which include essentials such as rice, soap, shampoo, and washing powder, were worth a total VND200 million (US$9,500).

This amount was partly contributed by local consumers who bought more than VND200,000 worth of P&G products at Lotte Mart’s supermarkets.

The gift-granting ceremonies took place last Monday and Tuesday, and were attended by local authorities, and Miss Vietnamese Mai Phuong Thuy.

This is the third Lunar New Year in a row P&G Vietnam and Lotte Mart have joined hands to assist the needy people.
