Tuoi Tre newspaper will continue to hold another major exam and career counseling festival in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho this weekend, following the success of last weekend’s event in HCMC.
The festival, which will begin at the Can Tho University campus on Saturday, is part of a larger-scale consulting program Tuoi Tre has organized to provide high school students with advice on the national university entrance exams and career paths for 10 years.
Prestigious educators, ministry officials, psychologists, health experts, and personnel veterans will participate in the event, which is expected to be the largest of its kind ever to be held in Can Tho.
University hopefuls and interested participants can find valuable counseling in four separate areas which can house up to 2,000 people each during this festival.
They can seek direct counseling from 90 stands of over 80 schools as well.
The festival, which will close on Sunday, also targets middle school students, parents, and high school career counselors, who all need updated information on higher education and career trends.
Tuoi Tre is also holding another smaller consulting event at ien Giang University in the southwestern province of Tien Giang this Saturday morning.
The two events will be reported live on local TV channels and at tuoitre.vn.
Last weekend, the newspaper ran its biggest ever exam and career counseling festival at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, which was attended by tens of thousands of students and parents.
This year, Tuoi Tre plans to organize counseling sessions in 16 provinces and cities nationwide, including major cities where a large number of university applicants are going to take their entrance exams, such as Da Nang and Hanoi.
In Vietnam, the national college entrance exams are organized by the Ministry of Education and Training every July.
