“WHO’S WHO 2012” WRITING CONTEST

Eligibility: the contest is open to all Tuoi Tre Newspaper’s readers, excluding Tuoi Tre’s staff, employees, reporters, and those of the sponsor Eximbank.
Contest duration: Entry is open from now to 11:59pm, February 16, 2012.
How to join the contest
This is an online writing contest. In the top-left column of this page, entrants will see a photo of a world renowned figure who has recently paid a visit to Vietnam. (click on the photo to view in larger size)
Entrants are required to identify the person and write a short essay in English (from 200 to 500 words) about this person, describing their thoughts on the person’s trip to Vietnam.
Entrants can look for information on the figure through articles published on tuoitrenews.vn, or other websites.
After completing their essays, entrants will email them to ttn@tuoitre.com.vn, using the subject title “Entry for Who’s Who 2012.”
They are also required to provide correct personal information including their full name, date of birth, student ID number or ID card number or passport number, plus contact address, and phone number.
How scores are calculated
Only entries submitted via the email ttn@tuoitre.com.vn are valid. No entries submitted via the comment box on tuoitrenews.vn are accepted.
Entries submitted via postal mail or in person at Tuoi Tre’s office in the form of a hardcopy are not valid either.
The date on entrants’ entry-submitting emails will provide the basis for the Organizing Board to determine whether entrants failed to meet the deadline.
The entries are required to correctly identify the figure, express original ideas, and be written in standard English, with fluency and coherence and minimal spelling and grammatical mistakes.
The highest score for an entry is 10. Ten (10) entrants with the highest scores will be declared the winners.
Each winner will be awarded a cash prize worth VND1 million (one million Vietnamese dong).
The Organizing Board makes the final decision, which is not subject to any complaints or appeals from entrants.

Board of judges
The contest’s board of judges includes representatives from Tuoi Tre’s Editorial Board, the sponsor and the English publication tuoitrenews.vn.
Other Information
Selected entries will be published on tuoitrenews.vn at the Organizing Board’s discretion at the appropriate time.
All personal information relating to the entrants will be kept confidential.
The Organizing Board is not responsible for any mistakes made by the entrants in the entries.
Information regarding the contest, especially the list of winners, and how to claim the prizes, will be published on Tuoi Tre daily newspaper, and the websites tuoitrenews.vn, m.tuoitre.vn, and tuoitre.vn.
Winners will be notified via the email address they provided during the registration process.
Winners can receive their cash prize at Tuoi Tre’s office. Or they can email ttn@tuoitre.com.vn if they want their cash prize to be transferred to their bank account or to receive it at the local post office.
Winners are expected to keep themselves posted with Tuoi Tre’s announcement of the list of winners. The Organizing Board is not to be held responsible for any failure to claim the prize for not following the announcement.
Any winners fail to claim the prizes within one month after the prize-giving ceremony at Tuoi Tre’s office, all the unclaimed prizes will be deposited into Tuoi Tre’s funds.
The Organizing Board makes the final decision, which is not subject to any complaints or appeals from entrants.

Cách thức tổ chức:
Để dự thi, bạn đọc truy cập vào trang http://www.tuoitrenews.vn/cmlink/tuoitrenews/game/whos-who-writing-contest-1.58636, để xem hình ảnh nhân vật cần xác định danh tính.
Dưới mỗi bài viết, bạn cần thông báo tên thật, ngày tháng năm sinh, số thẻ SV-HS hoặc CMND hoặc passport, địa chỉ liên lạc, số điện thoại tiện liên lạc.
Mọi trường hợp thắc mắc vui lòng gửi email đến địa chỉ: ttn@tuoitre.com.vn, tiêu đề ghi Thi Who’s Who 2012.
Cách thức chơi:
Đây là cuộc thi Online. Trên trang có ảnh giới thiệu một nhân vật nổi tiếng thế giới vừa đến thăm Việt Nam gần đây. Người chơi phải xác định chính xác danh tính nhân vật này và viết một bài ngắn bằng tiếng Anh (tối thiểu 200 chữ và tối đa 500 chữ) về nhân vật trên và cảm nghĩ của bạn khi nhân vật này thăm Việt Nam. Người chơi có thể tham khảo thông tin liên quan nhân vật trên website tuoitrenews.vn và các website chính thống khác.
Sau khi hoàn tất bài viết, bạn đọc gửi email đến địa chỉ: ttn@tuoitre.com.vn, tiêu đề ghi Thi Who’s Who 2012.
Cách thức chấm giải:
Ban Tổ chức chỉ nhận những bài viết gửi qua email (không nhận theo cách comment trên website tuoitrenews.vn), căn cứ vào thời gian nhận thể hiện trên email gửi đến để xác định bài viết có vi phạm thời gian thi hay không.
Không nhận những bài viết gửi theo cách đường bưu điện hoặc gửi trực tiếp bằng bản in tại tòa soạn báo Tuổi Trẻ.
Bài viết, ngoài việc xác định đúng nhân vật, phải có nội dung độc đáo, ý tưởng mới lạ. Cách viết lưu loát diễn cảm, mạch lạc; tiếng Anh chuẩn, không mắc quá nhiều lỗi chính tả, ngữ pháp.
Những người thắng giải là những người đạt số điểm cao nhất.
Quyết định của BTC là quyết định cuối cùng và không được khiếu kiện.
Ban giám khảo cuộc thi:
Sẽ gồm các thành viên: đại diện BBT báo Tuổi Trẻ, đại diện của đơn vị tài trợ, và các Biên tập viên của tuoitrenews.vn.
Các điều khoản có liên quan đến quyết định của BTC:
Các bài viết dự thi sẽ được đăng tải trên trang tuoitrenews.vn theo quyết định của Ban Tổ chức vào thời điểm thích hợp.
BTC đảm bảo bảo mật các thông tin cá nhân của người dự thi.
BTC không chịu trách nhiệm về mọi sơ sót trong bài viết do lỗi từ phía người dự thi.
Những thông tin về cuộc thi, đặc biệt danh sách trúng thưởng và cách thức nhận thưởng sẽ được đăng trên báo Tuổi Trẻ và trang tuoitrenews.vn, trang tuoitre.vn;
Danh sách trúng thưởng cũng sẽ đồng thời được gửi đến email mà bạn đã đăng ký.
Giải thưởng bằng tiền mặt có thể được gửi đến người trúng giải (theo yêu cầu qua email ttn@tuoitre.com.vn) qua tài khoản hoặc bưu điện nếu người trúng giải không có điều kiện trực tiếp đến nhận giải thưởng.
Người dự thi có trách nhiệm theo dõi các thông tin trên. BTC không chịu trách nhiệm về mọi trường hợp không nhận được giải do không theo dõi được danh sách trúng giải.
Quá thời hạn nhận giải (1 tháng sau thời điểm lễ phát giải tại tòa soạn Tuổi Trẻ), toàn bộ những giải thưởng chưa nhận sẽ được sung vào công quỹ.
Quyết định của BTC là quyết định cuối cùng và không được khiếu kiện.
Giải thưởng: 10 giải đồng hạng, mỗi giải trị giá 1.000.000 VND (một triệu đồng VN)
