Extravagant firework displays at 29 locations will mark Hanoi’s 1,000th year celebrations on October 10, according to the city People’s Committee.
There will be four high-intensity displays at Hoan Kiem Lake in front of the post office, Ly Tu Trong flower garden in Tay Ho district, Thong Nhat park in Hai Ba Trung district, and Van Quan Lake in Ha Dong district.
The will be 24 others of lesser intensity all around the city.
But the highlight will be an artistic fireworks and high-tech sound and light performance at the My Dinh national stadium which will be broadcast live.
The pyrotechnics will be set off at the other 28 locations immediately after the 15-minute artistic fireworks show.
