Vietnam won two gold medals in mixed double taekwondo non-combat and women’s double 500m canoeing events on November 11 and ranked fourth place on the medal tally after hosts Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
Nguyen Dinh Toan and Nguyen Minh Tu were given 8.13 points for their performance to crown the taekwondo event, above silver medalists from the Philippines with 8.02 points.
In the women’s doubles 500m canoeing, Kieu Thi Hao and Nguyen Thi Mai clinched another gold medal for Vietnam.
Besides, players from Vietnam grabbed two silver and three bronze medals in other events at the 26th SEA Games taking place in Indonesia till November 22.
Vietnam now ranks fourth on the table after Indonesia with 10 golds – 9 silvers and 1 bronze medals, Singapore with 3-4-6 and Thailand with 3-1-6
