China’s rural experience reality television show ‘Haha Farmer’ will be remade in Vietnam to promote local culture, people, and beautiful rural landscapes of Vietnam, a Yeah1 Group representative confirmed on Thursday.
The Vietnamese remake, produced by Yeah1 Group in collaboration with Chinese-owned short-video app TikTok and the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center under Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, is scheduled to debut in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The original version of ‘Haha Farmer’ was produced by Mango TV and was broadcast on Hunan TV in 2019, featuring 12 episodes.

The show will introduce stunning rural landscapes, local culture and food of different regions in Vietnam to audiences.
Family and community values as well as the beauty of hardworking people in the countryside will be highlighted in the show.
The production team also mentioned three main goals they look to fulfill via the TV show, including: promote local tourism, traditional craft villages, culture, food specialties; promote the ‘One Commune One Product’ national program and boost consumption of Vietnamese agro products via digital platforms; and help bolster sales of farm produce in foreign markets.
